About the project
DCP Foundation is an early-stage project developing the Deploy Context Protocol (DCP), public deployment infrastructure, and educational material that helps people create useful tools with AI and share them with their communities.
The intended model combines an open standard with a public service and learning resources. Work is currently focused on the first version of the protocol and preparing the infrastructure for a responsible launch.
What is available now
- This foundation website, explaining the project, its mission, and the planned programs.
- Four introductory education guides, covering community ideas, working with an AI agent, sharing a useful result, and human ownership.
- A practical idea brief that creators can adapt for a conversation with their AI agent.
What is still being developed

- Deploy Context Protocol (DCP) v0.1: a first specification and examples for publishing and managing projects.
- Public deployment service: the intended
dcp.runservice is not accepting public deployments. - Service policies and controls: supported workloads, resource limits, ownership, retention, export, and abuse response need to be defined and validated before launch.
- Public collaboration: repositories and a proposal review process are planned. The specification page introduces the planned interface.
- Foundation operations: governance and formal organization details are still being established.
Public benefit and stewardship
The project is being developed with charitable and educational purposes in mind: expanding access to practical learning, publishing open standards, and making shared infrastructure available for community benefit.
Before launch, governance and service policies need to translate that purpose into practice, including transparent eligibility, responsible use of resources, and safeguards against improper private benefit or benefit to insiders.
The foundation does not seek an ownership stake in users’ projects. Creators retain their existing rights. This is separate from the obligation to operate the foundation for public benefit.
Status and accountability
We use “DCP Foundation” as the project name. This website does not assert completed nonprofit incorporation, charitable registration, or tax-exempt status. No donation or tax-deductibility claim is offered here.
Future public information should include the project’s governing documents, responsible people, funding arrangements, and service policies once those are established and ready to publish. We will identify completed work separately from goals.
The current website describes the project’s development stage as of 25 September 2026. It is an overview of progress, not a live service availability dashboard.
